Here are my answers to the two questions I get asked the most about my RPs.

Why do you only RP Alices?

I RP Alice as a way of exploring a character I use in a for-fun-only piece of fiction I’m writing, which takes place outside of the DC Universe. I got into RPing via the Gotham scene on Twitter, and so I tailored Alice to fit that scene. Aside from fun, the fiction is my reason for RPing. Thus, it’s most productive, time-wise, for me to stick to writing Alices. (I’ve written other characters beside Alice, but anonymously, briefly and only by request.)

Why do you make new Alice accounts?

I won’t change the original Alice, @Alice_Arkham, because she is the primary basis for the character in my fiction. @Arkham_Alice has become the most popular Alice, and I’m reluctant to make any drastic alterations to her character because it would affect the majority of my RP partners in a way that would compromise the RPs. Therefore, I create new accounts of alternate Alice versions tailored to specific SLs. This allows me to explore how new situations would affect Alice, which has been enjoyable and enlightening, without drastically limiting my overall RPs.

The Alices

Common threads: Alice is the daughter of Jeremiah Arkham, whom she despises. She possesses an above average talent for hacking and a love of sarcasm.

@Alice_Arkham

The original Alice. Arguably the nicest of the lot. Professional hacker with an advanced knowledge of psychpharmacology. Her moral alignment flips depending on the circumstances.

@Arkham_Alice

The primary Alice. Exhibits a deep level of misanthropy. Highly averse to being touched by most individuals, strangers or otherwise. A prolonged torture session by a supernatural entity imbued her with @InvidiaMachina, enabling her to read and occasionally manipulate emotions. Semi-regularly harms individuals to satiate @InvidiaMachina and keep it within her control. Elite hacker with a predilection for violent behavior. Occasional mercenary and arsonist. Reluctantly lives with @Spliced_Ryan, when compelled to, as his employee/test subject/captive. Has limited gene spliced powers, courtesy of @Spliced_Ryan, that allow her to telekinetically manipulate objects, use sonic blasts of energy and emit small bursts of electricity from her fingertips. These powers are restricted by her access to EVE, which @Spliced_Ryan controls. Uses opiates and amphetamines occasionally to modulate the influence of @InvidiaMachina over her. Works on projects with Dr. Crane, during which she displays an advanced knowledge of psychopharmacology. Has been known to display a conscience when faced with injuring children. Builds prototypes of robots for fun.

@IceBitchBlue

Self-sufficient hacker trained to read microexpressions. Almost pathologically misanthropic. Not averse to being touched, but highly averse to anything resembling emotional attachment. Easily feels threatened and reacts with extreme hostility. Recreational drug user, especially of ketamine and heroin, with a borderline dependence on the latter. Occasionally uses amphetamines for her work, making requisite association with drug dealers.

@InsidiousAlice

Possessed by @InvidiaMachina to an often debilitating extent. Gives her a much stronger ability to read and manipulate emotions than @Arkham_Alice. Comes with the tradeoff of diminished mental control and a drug dependency, resultant of her attempts to increase her influence over said entity. Has the most salient conscience of all the Alices, exacting violence on others only when frightened or compelled to by @InvidiaMachina. Currently under the protection of @The_CHiMeRA_ as a result of a death warrant issued out on her.

@BloodshotAlice

What has become of @IceBitchBlue after being tortured by @The_Dahlia_ for her part in an execution. Massively scarred, physically and mentally, from the experience. Her rescuer @FuckTheCowl may be able to convince her to swap being a villain for a semi-moral deliverer of retribution. Takes on the identity Bloodshot and uses her ability to read microexpressions as she acts as @FuckTheCowl’s sidekick.
